Programs for children begin as soon as they leave our nursery. "Pre-school Praise" is a Sunday school program developed specifically for children three years old.
The highlight of our children's Sunday school program is the "Workshop Rotation." Parents are amazed at how quickly kids become invested in Sunday school, where grades K-6 are taught Bible stories using computers, story telling, games, cooking, drama, and video. They love the variety and look forward to coming to Sunday school each week.
On Sunday evenings, grades 7-12 meet for Youth/ROCKS and grades K-6 meet for Kids of the Kingdom (KOK). At Youth/ROCKS, activities throughout the year include: lock-ins, retreats, mission trips, Youth Sunday, fundraisers, and just hanging out. At Kids of the Kingdom, activities include a children's choir, Christmas play, Children's Sunday, hand bell choir, visiting shut-ins, trunk-or-treat and lots of parties.
Children from outside our congregation are welcome and invited to participate any of our activities. One of the new opportunties is Pre-School Storytime. Children also have the opportunity to check out books from the Ewing & Roberta McGee Children's Library.
Children are involved during the Sunday morning service as well - participating in the children's sermon, serving as acolytes, rotating as ushers and lectors, and even putting on an entire service.
